ddcjn2nm_31gjzfcv82_bThe Big Red Barn Art Festival is a family-oriented event that includes a children’s art show, plant sale, and art exhibitors representing a variety of mediums from oils, water colors, and acrylics to quilts, jewelry, and pottery.

Prizes are awarded to the best entries in the children’s art show based on votes that are cast by the public during the event. Art activities are provided for kids by Marysville art teacher, Vicki Carver, which includes basic instruction in watercolor painting, origami, and basic drawing.

The purpose of the event is to promote new budding artists alongside established artists, and to raise awareness of the tradition of farming. Attendees are encouraged to also visit several of the local farms that are hosting events in celebration of the fall harvest.

Confirmed exhibitors include Joan Grout, Judith Jackson, Terri Martin, Christina Harvey, Judy Sauer, Lyla Lillis, and Daniel Carver.

The Big Red Barn Art Festival is sponsored by Brush Strokes Art Supply (Arlington, WA).
